Daring Leadership is the Future of Leadership
You may be familiar with the research and work of Dr. Brené Brown, and now you’re ready to bring the work into your organization as you look into a future of leaders with well-developed skills around courage, a future of daring leadership.
As a Certified Dare to Lead™ Facilitator, I’m able to help you, your team, and your organization focus on courage-building skills, moving from armored leadership to daring leadership. Based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown, Dare to Lead™ is an empirically based courage-building program designed to support leader agility, team effectiveness and culture change. Her research with 150 leaders, work done over 20 years, compiling hundreds of thousands of pieces of data answered the question, “What is the future of leadership?” with a resounding response of, “Bravery and courage!” The need for braver leaders grows every day!
The most significant finding from Brené’s latest research is that courage is a collection of four skill sets that are teachable, measurable, and observable. That’s right. Skillsets. Teachable, observable, and measurable. The four skillsets are: Rumbling with Vulnerability, Living Into Our Values, BRAVING Trust, and Learning to Rise.
We’ll immerse ourselves in an engaging and interactive process to explore and learn the skillsets preparing you to return with new ideas, tools, and your own expanded bravery and courage in your own arena of challenges. When we dare to lead, we don’t pretend to have the right answers; we stay curious and ask the right questions. We don’t see power as finite and hoard it; we know that power becomes infinite when we share it with others. We don’t avoid difficult conversations and situations; we lean into vulnerability when it’s necessary to do good work. But daring leadership requires skill-building around traits that are deeply and uniquely human.
