Event Details
This training takes a comprehensive look at substance use prevention, treatment, and recovery. It includes a discussion on the diagnostic criteria for substance use disorder, the effects of substance use on the brain, risk factors and protective factors, evidence-based treatment and prevention interventions, the substance use continuum of care, strategies to reduce harm, and recovery. The training is recommended for social workers, counselors, nurses and therapists. It is appropriate for beginning, intermediate and advanced level of practice.
PLEASE NOTE: This workshop is free to the public. Pre-registration is recommended due to limited space. Continuing education credits are also available:
CEU credit (4.0 hrs) is available for $20*
CNE credit (4.1 hrs) is available for $40**
Payment will be received at the registration site. Certificates will be given at the end of the session after payment is confirmed.
