Event Details
The East Texas Crisis Center is inviting community members: religious leaders, law enforcement, social workers, lawyers, victim advocates, educators, nurses, and mental health professionals to participate in “In Her Shoes” training. “In Her Shoes” is an interactive simulation designed for learning more about domestic violence. Participants will move, think, and experience the lives of battered women. Participants will have the opportunity to debrief and discuss the experience, clarify questions, talk about myths, and discuss misunderstandings related to Victims and Survivors of Domestic Violence.
